Hi, I'm Lisa from Malta. As a stereotypical Mediterranean I am naturally warm hearted, kind and friendly - cannot help it. I speak English, Italian, Maltese and can understand a little German. My husband is originally from Hamburg. We lived in Malta for most of our married life and now we're in Hamburg since 3.5 years. We have 3 cats, who moved with us from Malta - Newton, Roger and Tofu. Our babies are very much cared for and mean the world to us.
In Malta I used to dog-sit, just to be with pets. This was before we adopted our rescued cats. I also have experience with ferrets - had ferrets for most of my life; chipmonks - had adopted a rescued chip monk and had her with us for a couple of years; rescuing in general - from time to time, whenever the situation required, I rescued chickens, pigeons, rabbits and street cats (there are many in Malta). Once we had a chicken living in the bathroom (safely away from our cats) until I arranged for her to go on a kind farm (where they do not kill chickens). Another time we had a pet rabbit (was hiding under a car - a real challenge to catch) and quite often kittens that were caught on the street, thereafter fostered until safely homed. Rescuing has taught me to improvise and connect with people and it was a beautiful thing to be able to do. This love and respect for animals made me become vegan and I've been so, for over 12 years.
When we travel, Pawshake is what I rely on, because we require a person to live at our apartment to be with our cats while we are away. For this reason, I feel comfortable enough and happy to offer my services here: house visits, dog walking, pet sitting. Does your pet require something else?
