Über Mie
From a young age, I have always found joy in the company of dogs. Growing up with a cocker spaniel and a Labrador, I developed a deep appreciation and love for these loyal and affectionate animals. My experience extends beyond just my family pets, as I have often been the go-to dog sitter for friends and neighbors. This hands-on experience includes caring for various breeds such as chihuahuas, dachshunds, miniature poodles, and border collies. Each breed has its unique characteristics and needs, and I've enjoyed learning how to cater to them individually.
Recently, I've found myself with more free time and want to dedicate this time to something I am passionate about—being around dogs. As a dog walker and sitter, I aim to provide a trustworthy and nurturing environment for dogs, ensuring they get the exercise, companionship, and care they deserve. Whether it’s a brisk walk in the park or a day of attentive sitting, I am committed to meeting the needs of both the dogs and their owners. My goal is to offer peace of mind to dog owners, knowing their beloved pets are in caring and experienced hands.
I have experience administering medication, either orally or mixed with food, and would be happy to ensure your dog's medication is given according to your instructions. Additionally, I can assist with command and leash training, though I do not offer grooming services.
Typically, I host one dog per day to provide focused care, but I am also experienced in managing multiple dogs simultaneously. If you have more than one dog, I am more than happy to care for all of them. However, I prefer not to dog sit for more than one household at a time unless the dogs have met and are comfortable with each other. Please let me know your preference, and I will accommodate it accordingly.
The length and frequency of walks vary depending on how long I am looking after your dog(s). For full-day bookings, I provide one long walk lasting an hour or more, along with multiple shorter walks of up to 20 minutes. Generally, I take the dogs out every 3-4 hours to ensure they get regular potty breaks, fresh air, interaction with people and other dogs, and ample exercise.
Working from home allows me to be with your dog(s) without interruptions for the entire stay. I live alone in a pet-free, two-bedroom apartment with two smaller balconies. Your dog(s) will have full access to all rooms except the bedroom (including one of the balconies). While I allow dogs on my couch, I am happy to follow your house rules. If you prefer your dog to stay off the furniture, I will ensure they respect that rule.
