Taking care of my dog has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From providing them with nutritious meals and taking them on daily walks, to snuggling with them on the couch and giving them plenty of belly rubs, dogs require love, patience, and attention.
I've found that regular exercise, a good meal and playtime are crucial for keeping dogs healthy and happy. Additionally, I learned basic medications to give and making sure that the dog does not reject them.
Socialization and training are also important aspects of taking care of dogs. I have learned the do's and dont's when taking them on walks and exactly what to be attentive to.
In short, taking care of dogs requires a lot of hard work and dedication, but the rewards of a happy and healthy canine companion are well worth it.
I am currently a university student at TUM and since I have not taken any job recently, i have more free time to dedicate to pet sitting. I could easily adjust my schedule to fit in a four legged friend!
what I have learned throughout the years is that :
1.Larger dogs tend to require more exercise than smaller dogs.
I would utilise the space and toys available to have more active play sessions for a larger dog to meet their exercise needs.
2.Small dogs can be more easily overwhelmed by new experiences and social situations, while larger dogs may be more confident and outgoing. It's important to gradually expose a small dog to new people, places, and other animals, to prevent them from becoming fearful or anxious.
3.When socializing small and large dogs together, it's important to ensure that the smaller dog is safe from injury. Large dogs can accidentally harm smaller dogs during play or when interacting, so it's important to supervise interactions closely and intervene if necessary. It's also important to teach both small and large dogs appropriate behaviour and boundaries when interacting with each other.
